What's inside my make up bag? Review

I recently had one of those crazy i need to completely restock my whole entire make up bag moments, (one of them days where the last drop of foundation left in the bottle isn't enough to cover your blemishes and your mascara is all dried up) so i thought, why not share with you my new make up collection and make up look! I may have gone a little overboard and purchased maybe a little bit more than the bare essentials, like pretty shimmery MAC eye shadows.. That's not too far is it?

All the make up I bought is all really great, and although I haven't been using it long, I think it's definitely good enough to share with all you guys! The first thing i do is what i call 'prep my face'

(sorry about the photo quality in advance, I don't have a proper camera at the moment so using an iPhone :( )

Clinique Primer
This stuff is amazing! I'd never used a primer until not long ago but it makes your face feel literally like a sheet of silk, and that's got to be a good thing, right?

(oopsy, my make up brushes need cleaning!)

Clinique Even Better Foundation

This foundation is AMAZING, it feels really soft and silky on the skin without leaving too much shine. The coverage was stronger than expected, and with being at the ripe old age of 19 my skin is still fairly smooth, it maybe is a little strong. It does, however, give a lovely flawless finish.

Benefit Erase Paste

Now this is my faverout concealer i've ever used! Although it seems expensive for the teeny pot it comes in it is worth it! the coverage is amazing for those round the eyes dark circles and it leaves this lovely brightness under the eyes making you look really healthy! The quality is really smooth and matt, would definitely recommend!

Benefit 'Hoopla' Bronzer

I haven't been wearing bronzer in a while, I normally just go for a stroke of pink blush, but as winter is here and the complexion is looking a little ghostly, i thought why not get a bronzer and I love this one, the colour looks dark when you first open it but it comes out your skin as a soft natural bronze. It's lovely and matt so it doesn't leave your face looking too shimmery, especially if you're going for a shimmery blush on the cheeks like me!

Clinique Blushing Blush powder in Iced Lotus

This one I actually got for free when I bought my foundation and primer, usually I would go for a warmer pink but this one does have a lovely pretty gentle pink tone to it, if you like subtle blush I would definitely recommend this colour! It also has a shimmery finish which makes a pretty glowy (i don't think thats a word but i can't think of another way to describe!) look.

Benefit They're Real Mascara

There is only one word to describe this mascara.. A-MA-ZING. I'd seen this mascara soo many times when I walked through boots and always thought it was a little expensive, but when i woke up on Christmas morning to find it in my stocking i was delighted, and i was not disappointed! it makes your eyelashes so long and black and separated and just WOW. I love it and it's probably my favourite product i own! (and that's a big statement!)

MAC Stroke of Midnight Eyes in Warm

These MAC eyeshadows are gorgeous and warm, they're lovely earthy skin tone colours with a subtle shimmer which means they're great for a subtle but pretty day look or a wintery smokey eye for the evening if you build them up! The quality is amazing (like most MAC products) I think these tones would look really pretty with any skin tone, i love them and i would definitely, definitely, recommend.

Clinique Chubby Stick in Curvy Candy

Cliniques chubby sticks are literally just WOW. the colour lasts so long as it kind of stains your lips a little bit and the texture is surprisingly smooth and creamy! I chose this colour because it's not too much of a statement for the day time but still a noticeable pretty pink to add a little colour to the whole make up look. Clinique do these in so many colours and they all look amazing (red is next on my list!) Add lipgloss for a slightly more glossy look.

All brushes are Real Techniques which are a great set of brushes to own and leave your make up looking nice and flawless!

And here's the overall look! I went for a natural feel today!

I hope you enjoyed,

Hello!

A Quick Hello From Me!

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog.

I spent ages wondering what the best first post for my new blog would be, should i write all about pretty make up or my favourite cosmetics at the moment, but then I decided why not start with a little bit about me!

My Names Olivia and I am a student studying Media, I'm aspiring to become part of a design team within fashion (somewhere amazing like Vogue!) and I love all things pretty! My life pretty much revolves around buying gorgeous make up, luscious cosmetic products, anything from Topshop and going to the gym, oh and the occasional exciting day out to my favourite places (like afternoon tea at Bills restaurant and cafe!) I've been wanting to set up a blog for ages and with the extra time over the Christmas period leaving me at a loose end, ta dah, here I am writing my first post! I'm sure this blog will be very fashion/beauty orientated however expect other little lifestyle bits and bobs throughout! I hope you enjoy.

Lots of love,

Olivia xx
